Alkaren: “I aim to prove I’m not just average”
In his first interview since joining HEROIC, Alimzhan “Alkaren” Bitimbai, the 18-year-old sniper, is set to face his former team, Spirit, at the Esports World Cup. Alkaren expressed his excitement about stepping up to a professional level after previously playing in Spirit Academy.
“I thought I would continue playing for the academy, but I’m glad I’ve joined this team, and I’m happy.”
Despite a rocky start for HEROIC, with recent roster changes including the departures of Eetu “sAw” Saha and Álvaro “SunPayus” García, Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich moving to Spirit, and the benched Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin, Alkaren is ready for the challenge ahead.
He revealed, “I prefer playing alongside experienced players. It’s more comfortable because they know more.”
In anticipation of their first match, Alkaren noted the significance of proving himself, stating, “I want to show that I’m not mid. I aim to develop and grow with my team.”
