Bethesda’s space action RPG, Starfield, may potentially be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 as early as 2026, according to a reliable industry source.

The game had a mixed reception when initially released for the Xbox Series X/S and PC nearly two years ago. Despite this, there are strong indications that Microsoft is considering porting it to additional platforms, with circulating rumors of a PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 release.

Starfield Possibly Coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026

Since its debut in June, the Nintendo Switch 2 has seen the inclusion of major AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, and more. Starfield could join these ranks, as insider NateTheHate revealed, “Indiana Jones & the Great Circle won’t be the only Bethesda game coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.” He also noted that aside from the PlayStation 5 release, Starfield is slated for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Given Microsoft’s strategy shift towards releasing more Xbox titles on PlayStation platforms, fans are keenly waiting for Starfield to arrive on the PlayStation 5. Although expectations had suggested readiness for the port alongside a second DLC this year, recent news indicates the RPG won’t launch on the PS5 until Spring 2026, to the disappointment of many fans who haven’t yet experienced the title.
