During the recent Gamescom event, Activision showcased a 17-minute overview of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The presentation introduced new gameplay features such as wall jumps, a co-op campaign, and the return of unlock challenges reminiscent of Modern Warfare 3.
Key Features Highlighted:
- New Movement Techniques: Players can now wall jump, enhancing movement options in gameplay.
- Co-op Campaign: For the first time since 2015, players can enjoy a four-player cooperative campaign.
- Campaign and Multiplayer Integration: Progression in the campaign contributes to multiplayer experience points.
- Classic Content: Unlock challenges from Modern Warfare 3 are making a comeback, allowing players to unlock weapons and attachments via weekly challenges.
The game is set to support cross-progression between campaign and multiplayer modes, and all content from Black Ops 6 will carry over into the new title, available starting Season 1. The open beta for Black Ops 7 will commence on October 2, following a reveal event scheduled for September 30.
