One of the most talked-about modifications in the gaming community is the Dawn of War: Definitive Edition. This new release is generating buzz among mod developers, particularly those behind the popular overhaul mods. Kekoulis, the Shogun of Unification and lead developer of the Unification mod, recently addressed the community regarding the project’s future.
In a message shared on Discord, Kekoulis noted that while they were eager to implement updates, they would wait for the official patches from Relic, which are pivotal for mod functionality. The shift to a 64-bit executable aims to enhance stability and performance, promising the potential for larger battles and diverse factions.
While the community remains excited, Kekoulis confirmed that the Unification mod will not be ported to Dawn of War 4, stating, “We cannot redo over ten years of work into a new game which remains largely unknown and distinct from the original”.
