Gameplay Reveal for Cinder City: A Post-Apocalyptic MMO

A new gameplay trailer for Cinder City has been unveiled, showcasing its immersive world and mechanics.

Cinder City, previously known as Project LLL, has announced a new gameplay trailer during the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 event. This post-apocalyptic MMO from NCSoft revisits its first announcement back in 2022, highlighting gun mechanics and graphics that have left fans eager for updates. The name change to Cinder City was disclosed earlier this week.

The game offers a narrative-driven RPG experience in a futuristic version of Seoul, South Korea, utilizing Unreal Engine 5 to feature stunning visuals and smooth gameplay mechanics. Previous trailers hinted at mech suits and diverse vehicles, enhancing gameplay variety, but footage thus far has focused on PvE engagements with no PvP details revealed yet.

The Trailer Highlights

At Gamescom ONL 2025, NCSoft’s trailer unveiled several combat situations; from engaging gunplay and mech suit battles to helicopter sequences and vehicle driving. However, without a set release date, the game is confirmed to be in development for both PC and major console platforms.

The trailer teases intense multiplayer boss battles, showcasing a massive mech being attacked by players scattered in mechs, helicopters, and vehicles, indicating a potential focus on cooperative gameplay.

NCSoft also presented a new project called Time Takers, a different third-person shooter game that incorporates time manipulation into its mechanics. With a rich history of successful MMO releases, including franchises like Guild Wars and Lineage, expectations remain high for both titles.
