Nvidia DLSS Override Introduces Global Toggle for Enhanced Frame Generation

Nvidia's latest update to its app includes a global toggle for DLSS Override, enhancing frame generation capabilities across multiple GPU models.

Nvidia recently announced a much-anticipated feature for its application: a global DLSS Override toggle. This addition will enable users with RTX 50-series GPUs to force Multi Frame Generation (MFG) across all games that support frame generation (FG). Users of RTX 30-series and 40-series graphics cards are also able to force specific upscaling options in DLSS games.

Keeping up with various frame generation and upscaling technologies can be a challenge, especially considering Nvidia provides several DLSS versions alongside different frame generation models. With the introduction of DLSS Override, players can utilize the advanced capabilities of their GPUs more consistently across their gaming library.

Furthermore, the update allows users to select their preferred DLSS model and quality level, making it easier for gamers to achieve their desired settings. Nvidia has shifted to a transformer model, which, while it might slightly decrease frame rates, produces superior visual detail and quality.

Overall, this enhancement simplifies the user experience, allowing for broader application of advanced settings without needing to adjust configurations on a per-game basis. Users will now be able to view their selected settings easily and ensure their frame generation and upscaling features are actively engaged.
