Nvidia has confirmed that support for Smooth Motion on RTX 40-series GPUs will be available soon, ahead of Gamescom 2025. This feature will allow owners of last-generation Nvidia cards to enable Frame Generation technology in almost all contemporary games using the Nvidia application.
Previously, we reported on RTX 40-series Smooth Motion support found in the developer version of GeForce Game Ready drivers version 590.26; however, it’s now set to launch in standard versions as well.
Nvidia states that Smooth Motion will debut “at Gamescom,” which officially kicks off on August 20. It’s expected that an Nvidia App update will also accompany this release, making this feature available for all RTX 40-series users.
