Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, reminiscent of Bloodborne but set in 14th century China, has faced backlash due to its recent patch (version 1.5) that rendered key bosses involuntarily invincible. Players expressed their displeasure, claiming that the game’s narrative integrity was compromised.

In response, a rollback mod has surfaced on Nexus Mods, enabling fans to revert to the previous version (1.4) where they could eliminate bosses. The mod’s description criticizes the 1.5 update, asserting it undermines the story and immersion, stating, “Wuchang 1.5 massively downgrades the game experience.”

The mod is exclusive to the Steam version, requiring players to disable automatic updates to retain its functionality. Interestingly, it has garnered more than 1,000 downloads, indicating a substantial demand for the restoration of the original gameplay experience.
