Steam Store Gets a Major Design Overhaul

The Steam store has been revamped to improve user experience by increasing page width and enhancing visuals.

Steam’s latest update introduces a wider store page layout, expanding the width from 940 pixels to 1200 pixels. This enhancement seeks to modernize the design and optimize the user experience for players using larger monitors.

According to Valve, “This improves the shopping experience in a number of ways, allowing for bigger screenshots and trailers, and allowing more room to describe your features in the written description area.” The page will remain adaptable for smaller screens as well.

Valve has been gradually modernizing its platform, improving storefront navigation and recently launching a new video player. The continuous updates aim to utilize modern screen sizes effectively and enhance mobile device compatibility.
