Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds has faced a tough road recently as a new update (version 1.021) has introduced a serious bug causing game crashes. Players have voiced their frustrations on platforms like Reddit, leading to an official acknowledgment from the developers. Capcom stated:
“We are aware of the following issue being reported in Monster Hunter Wilds on all platforms and are currently working on a fix. Once the fix is complete, we plan to release a patch ‘Ver.1.021.01.00.’”
For the community that has dealt with performance issues since the game’s launch, this latest development is particularly disheartening. The game has been struggling with performance, reflected in its ‘mixed’ ratings on platforms like Steam, which players have described as largely negative, especially following recent crashes tied to the new update.
Despite promises from the director, Yuya Tokuda, to stay cautious about adjustments that might affect the game negatively overall, many are questioning Capcom’s ability to deliver improvements effectively. “Talk is cheap,” some critics argue, suggesting that more decisive action may be necessary at this stage to regain player confidence and improve the overall gaming experience.
