If you’ve found yourself feeling overwhelmed by the Siege of Cairo map in the Battlefield 6 beta, good news is on the horizon.
The lead producer of Battlefield 6, David Sirland, shared that additional larger maps are indeed a part of the full game’s design. During the closed beta, many players expressed a desire for a more expansive battleground, and it seems the developers have taken that feedback to heart.
“Speed is a factor of map size. We picked these maps to ensure we showcased the explosive gameplay of Battlefield. Large maps exist, and the pace will vary as a result; you will see very soon!”
(Translation: Larger maps will offer players a new way to experience the game’s combat.)
In his comments on X, Sirland acknowledged that the initial map choices were primarily intended to display the faster-paced combat aspects of the game. Players who enjoy a more sprawling and tactical battlefield can expect to see these larger maps come to fruition soon.
As the anticipation builds for the full launch on October 10, this news should excite fans looking for the classic Battlefield experience where players have room to strategize their engagements.
