Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Breaks Sales Record with Over 1 Million Copies Sold on Launch Day

The highly anticipated medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 achieves remarkable sales on its first day, captivating players worldwide.

The medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has taken the gaming world by storm, achieving over one million copies sold within the first day of its release.

“Over a million of you have stepped into our world,” shared the game’s developer, Warhorse Studios, on X. “We’re beyond grateful for your support—thank you for making KCD2 a triumph!”

In comparison, the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance reached this milestone in 10 days, while facing criticisms for its bugs and high hardware requirements. Noteworthy, the sequel has been positively received, positioned as what PC Gamer’s Joshua Wolens describes as “a new RPG classic”, and Nick Evanson praises its smooth gaming experience, free of the significant bugs found in its precursor.

Currently, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 also ranks among the top five games on Steam, with over 166,000 concurrent players at midday, a drastic increase from its predecessor’s peak of 96,000 players.

The game’s high user rating, with 92% of the 6,100+ reviews being positive on Steam, and a score of 88 on Metacritic, underscores its success amidst a competitive month in gaming. Upcoming titles include Civilization 7, Avowed, and Monster Hunter Wilds.

Whether you’re new to the game or just starting, PC Gamer has compiled some essential tips to enhance your journey, tackling various aspects from gameplay mechanics to strategies.
