The upcoming CS Asia Championships 2025 is set to be dynamic, with recent updates impacting team invitations as the event draws near. MIBR has gained the final invite, bringing the total number of slots to ten. This latest allocation release follows significant changes made earlier this year, sparking discussions across the community.
Perfect World recently adjusted the qualifications, now allowing MIBR a chance to participate while removing two Chinese qualifier slots entirely. In a twist, the Asian qualifier will now include opportunities for teams from various sub-regions, including China, East Asia, Oceania, and others.
General Manager of Complexity, Graham “messioso” Pitt, openly criticized Perfect World’s adjustment, expressing concern over the ongoing alterations without specific date announcements. He tweeted: “With more slot changes, they should now be on the September VRS. Your complete inaction is concerning. The precedent being set is even more so.”
The event is scheduled from October 14-19 in Shanghai, with a total prize pool of $1 million—$400,000 designated for teams and the remaining $600,000 for organizations. Here’s the updated list of invited teams:
- FaZe
- TYLOO
- 3DMAX
- Lynn Vision
- paiN
- MIBR
- Liquid
- Virtus.pro
- Legacy
- B8
- and others with opportunities through various qualifiers.
