Help Wanted: Battlefield 6 Developers Seek Player Input to Fix Quick Death Bug

Battlefield 6's developers are reaching out to players for their assistance in addressing an unexpected issue with the game's time-to-death, identified during the open beta.

Battlefield 6 Seeks Community Assistance on Time to Death Issue

The developers at Battlefield 6 have acknowledged a bug regarding a notably quick time-to-death (TTD) in the game. This problem surfaced during the open beta, which allowed gamers to preview the anticipated title set for release on October 10, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Details of the Issue

On social media, lead game designer Florian Le Bihan has requested players to share footage showcasing instances of the unexpectedly swift TTD. Responses to the appeal have exceeded 160, with many players submitting videos featuring their in-game experiences. Notably, one video displays two contrasting scenarios: one player experiencing immediate knockdown without prior damage notification, while another shows delayed damage several seconds post-hit.

Community Feedback

In addition to inquiries about the rapid TTD, Florian has also invited players to document instances of being hit by “super bullets.” Players can find a detailed list of issues reported during the Battlefield 6 beta on the official EA forum. These include various gameplay malfunctions, such as the inability to ping or spot from vehicles and glitches with the in-game map.

As servers shut down, the development team is keenly gathering player feedback to implement vital fixes. Players will get another opportunity during the open beta’s second week from August 14 to August 17. Participants in this phase have a chance to earn exclusive rewards like the War Machine vehicle skin, the Bat Company dog tag, and the Striking Distance weapon package.
