Ubisoft's Upcoming Far Cry TV Series Announcement Gets Pulled

Ubisoft was set to reveal a live-action series based on its Far Cry franchise featuring Rob McElhenney but quickly retracts the information.

Ubisoft has hinted at a live-action TV adaptation of the Far Cry franchise, featuring Rob McElhenney, famously known for his role in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. However, they abruptly removed the announcement shortly after it was made public.

The series is reportedly being developed at FX and is described as an anthology drama, with each season exploring a different narrative universe and character cast.

The show was to be co-executive produced by McElhenney, who has previously collaborated with Ubisoft on the Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest.

Interestingly, this revelation isn’t the usual gaming leak; it came directly from Ubisoft’s own news outlet but was promptly taken down. The specific reasons for this quick reversal remain unclear, raising speculation among fans and industry commentators alike.
