Rooster Teeth Makes a Bold Return Under Burnie Burns
The iconic production company Rooster Teeth is staging a comeback, led by its founder Burnie Burns, aiming to revive its legacy and focus on community engagement.
Rooster Teeth, a well-known production company, is actively planning its return after closing in May 2024. The announcement was made after Burnie Burns, one of the original founders, reacquired the brand along with many assets.
Founded in April 2003, Rooster Teeth gained fame for its Halo machinima series, Red vs. Blue. With its rise in popularity, it launched several successful YouTube channels, including Funhaus and Achievement Hunter, as well as the hit anime RWBY.
Burnie is enthusiastic about revitalizing the company’s culture of creativity and community engagement. He stated, ‘The historic brand plans to renew its focus on innovation, community engagement, and creativity.’ The return includes new projects from Box Canyon Productions planned for 2025.
In a recent podcast, Burnie asked the fans to not press former employees about their return, acknowledging many are thriving in new ventures. Currently, the future remains uncertain but hints at a promising revival.
