Fallout 76 to Tackle a Year-Long Caravan Glitch with a Temporary Fix

Bethesda is addressing the long-standing issue of stuck caravan missions in Fallout 76, although the solution may not resolve the core problem.

Bethesda is set to fix the issue of caravans getting stuck in Fallout 76 as part of the new upcoming update, though it’s only a temporary measure. The caravan escort missions added during Season 18 of the game, which began in early September 2024, have faced significant bugs from their launch.

The upcoming patch will reduce the caravan mission time drastically from 30 minutes to just 7, effectively addressing players’ concerns about wasting time on stuck caravans. While this change is a step in the right direction, it remains unclear if it tackles the root causes of these glitches, which have frustrated players for nearly a year. Enemy spawns will also not be as frequent if caravans become stuck, which indicates that survival time will likely not be an issue.

This redesign has been under testing since July 11 and is included in the forthcoming update, expected to coincide with Season 22 of Fallout 76 in September 2025.
