Next Month Brings the Launch of Strange Antiquities, a Follow-Up to a Beloved Detective Game

Strange Antiquities, the sequel to the acclaimed Strange Horticulture, will allow players to trade cursed artifacts to eccentric townsfolk starting in September.

Strange Antiquities Launches in September

A game sequel that fans have eagerly awaited is about to arrive. Strange Antiquities will debut next month, inviting players to delve into an occult world where they will sell cursed valuables to quirky villagers. Following in the footsteps of Strange Horticulture, released in 2022, this new game provides an opportunity to engage in dark, narrative-driven puzzles while navigating Lovecraftian themes.

In Strange Horticulture, players had the chance to mix horticulture with a gripping narrative, where the choices made could lead to dire consequences. This follow-up switches the focus from plants to captivating relics, enhancing the investigative aspect of gameplay.

Unlike its predecessor, players will have a more extensive array of mechanics to examine the artifacts in their possession, including weighing, touching, and even listening to them for cryptic sounds. The open world of Undermere is also set to expand, providing players with a more detailed map for exploration and object retrieval.

As detailed by Bad Viking, the developers, the aim is to immerse players in a narrative that feels authentic to the theme of occult investigation. Its official launch is September 17, and the anticipation has also inspired games similar in nature since the release of Strange Horticulture.
