Bonnie Armstrong Departs Ultima Online Production Role After 26 Years

Bonnie Armstrong announces her decision to step down as producer of Ultima Online after an extensive 26-year career.

Bonnie Armstrong, a mainstay in the development of Ultima Online, has announced her retirement from the producer role after contributing to the game for 26 years. She shared her decision in a heartfelt message, expressing excitement for personal pursuits ahead. Armstrong stated, “I have been the luckiest person alive to work with all the players and creatives involved in this journey. However, now it’s time to take some time off to work in my greenhouse, play with puppies, and snuggle with my hubby.”

After her departure, Greg Havlusch will take on the role of producer, having been with the game since 2008 as an event moderator. He reflected on his experience in the community, stating, “None of this would have been possible without the trust and confidence of Bonnie Armstrong.”

Even after stepping down, Armstrong will lend her expertise to assist UO’s game masters and moderators. Her transition comes as Ultima Online continues to thrive in an ever-evolving gaming landscape.
