Exciting Update for Minecraft: Shelves Coming Soon
Minecraft's upcoming update will introduce shelves, making organization easier for players.
In a recent snapshot shared on the Minecraft website, exciting new features for the game’s next update have been unveiled. Alongside the Copper Golem, a new addition aims to enhance the organization of your base.
Instead of rummaging through chests, players will soon be able to craft shelves to display their items. This is fantastic news for anyone who rushes into their base and fills their inventory before dashing out again. It also allows players to personalize their homes beyond just using paintings for decoration.
Each shelf can hold three items initially, and the materials used to craft them will vary. So, whether you prefer cherry wood for your tools or spruce wood for those monster parts collected from nighttime adventures, there will be plenty of options.
In addition, players can power these shelves with redstone, unlocking further capabilities. By interacting with a powered shelf, swapping all three items at once instead of one-by-one becomes possible. If multiple powered shelves are placed next to each other, they can be connected to form longer displays, allowing simultaneous item swapping with a single button press.
Another function for the Copper Golem was also previewed, centering on decoration rather than organization. Over time, Copper Golems will oxidize and eventually transform into statues for base decoration. Four poses will be available for the statues, which can be changed upon interaction. If players require assistance sorting their chests, they can ‘wax’ their Golems to restore them to active status.
No release date or name for this update has been established yet. However, new features are available for testing within the Bedrock Edition, with updates for Java players expected to arrive soon.
