Players Highlight Issues in Latest Genshin Impact Event

Genshin Impact's new summer event raises concerns for colorblind players, prompting discussions about the challenges faced.

A Genshin Impact player is highlighting a significant oversight with a new event in Version 5.8, indicating that certain players may face additional difficulties. This widely popular RPG from HoYoverse includes numerous events with a variety of mini-games. From combat challenges to rhythm games featuring favorite songs, Genshin Impact has consistently offered engaging experiences. However, the latest event has raised alarms for a specific group of fans.

Genshin Impact’s recent Version 5.8 launched a new summer event titled “Sunspray Summer Resort,” which features characters like Bennett and various mini-games such as target shooting and rhythm challenges. Unfortunately, this latest event has sparked issues for colorblind players.

A Reddit user posted about the “With Flying (Graffiti) Colors” mini-game, pointing out that it unintentionally poses greater challenges for colorblind players. During this activity, participants must match balloons of the same color, but the distinctions between blue and purple, and yellow and green, are problematic for those affected by color blindness. Prior events had also encountered similar issues.

Colorblind fans have shared suggestions for workarounds, including settings available for Nvidia graphics cards and links to guides that detail which balloons players should target in the event. Additionally, they recommend utilizing the feedback system to report these concerns to HoYoverse.

Genshin Impact’s latest update not only introduced this event but also added new content, including a new character and parts of a long-speculated area in Teyvat, setting the stage for more excitement in Version 5.8.
