Latest Steam Beta Enhances User Customization Features

The Steam Client Beta has received a new update, introducing enhanced customization options for users, along with fixing certain bugs.

On July 31, Steam introduced an updated version of the Steam Client Beta featuring a new Customization menu. This allows users to modify box art and assign custom titles for better organization. The latest beta also addressed bugs related to the recently modified Steam Store layout and resolved some issues in Big Picture Mode.

The previous beta update on July 24 altered the appearance of the Store menu, merging the left-side bar with the new blue top bar. This new setup enables users to access game recommendations, search by genre or franchise, and discover top-selling and discounted titles.

Additionally, the customization options include setting custom artwork and titles in the Properties menu for each game, facilitating a tailored experience for users night by organizing their game libraries, as demonstrated by a Reddit user Orthusomnia with examples from the Final Fantasy series.

This update also addresses various bug fixes in the Store menu, improving the dynamic capabilities of the Top Genres section. More enhancements include solutions related to the Big Picture Mode and related issues. All users can opt to participate in the Steam Client Beta and share feedback through the Steam Settings menu in the desktop application.
