Fatekeeper is an upcoming first-person RPG reminiscent of Dark Messiah

An exploration of the new game Fatekeeper, focusing on its gameplay mechanics and nostalgic elements.

The upcoming game Fatekeeper invites players back to the immersive physics-based combat that made Dark Messiah of Might & Magic a classic experience. Players will engage with orcs and other enemies in environments that encourage creative combat strategies, such as tossing them off cliffs.

While the game lacks a traditional kick move, players can perform actions like creating gusts of wind and throwing barrels to topple foes. Fatekeeper also introduces gruesome combat effects, including slow-motion decapitations and targeted attacks.

In a departure from open-world formats, Fatekeeper instead focuses on narrative-driven gameplay with some flexibility for exploration. This shift aims to deliver a refined, focused experience.

Developed by Paraglacial, originating from former Grimlore Games members, Fatekeeper is set to enter early access on Steam in the coming winter, ahead of its full release.
