Pathfinder, the beloved tabletop RPG, continues to expand its digital footprint with Starfinder: Afterlight, set to launch as a single-player RPG from Barcelona’s Epictellers Entertainment. This new game follows the success of earlier Pathfinder games and invites players to explore the cosmos.
Starfinder: Afterlight is designed to engage players with turn-based combat, both on planetary surfaces and in space. The premise centers on a missing ship captain, compelling the player, who can choose to be a soldier, envoy, operative, mystic, solarian, or witchwarper, to recruit a diverse crew to confront an unrecognized threat to the Pact Worlds.
The game will feature six companions, including an android assassin, all voiced by a talented cast led by Neil Newbon, known for his role as Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3. Each companion will come with their own story arcs and moral challenges, adding layers to the gameplay experience.
According to CEO Ricard Pillosu, “We’re thrilled to unveil Starfinder: Afterlight in partnership with Paizo. This marks the beginning of a journey we want to take alongside Starfinder fans everywhere. We can’t wait to share more about the ragtag crew navigating the Pact Worlds, full of danger and adventure.”
Expect Starfinder: Afterlight to deliver 40 to 60 hours of gameplay, with varying difficulty levels ranging from casual story-focused play to strategic challenges, and mod support for PC players. The project will undertake a Kickstarter campaign before entering early access on Steam in 2026.
