Patch 7.3 represents the climax of the Dawntrail narrative and offers gamers insight into future updates. In a recent broadcast, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida announced that the key features of Patch 7.3 will be released in phases, with the first rollout containing the most substantial content. This update will also introduce the second alliance raid from the Echoes of Vana’diel series, titled San d’Oria: The Second Walk, alongside a new PvP map for Crystalline Conflict and the Vault Oneiron treasure dungeon.
While specifics on the main story of Patch 7.3 remain undisclosed, more details will be unveiled shortly before the August 5 launch, including a preview of the nine additional quests commencing in Solution Nine.
Additional cosmetic items like hairstyles and glamour options will be obtainable in Patch 7.3 through various channels, including the Manderville Gold Saucer and the new Vault Oneiron dungeon. Notably, compatible headgear items for Viera and Hrothgar characters will finally be accessible in the upcoming update.
Several weapons and armor will receive enhanced textures in Patch 7.3, improving those from the Stormblood and Endwalker expansions. Player models will also see some updates as part of the ongoing graphic enhancements in Dawntrail, including a complimentary Fantasia potion available in Old Gridania. Players who have yet to claim the free Fantasia from Patch 7.2 must do so before server maintenance on August 4, at 9:00 PM Eastern to stack this offer.
Players seeking updates on Job balance will have to wait for the complete patch notes, to be released during server maintenance on August 4. Only time will tell how the community will react to the content delivered in Patch 7.3.
