Originally developed by Facepunch Studios and released in early access in December 2013, Rust has a reputation for its punishing open-world mechanics. Players begin with minimal gear and must scavenge for resources, craft tools, build bases, and survive against threats from animals and other players.
Continuing with frequent updates, Rust has evolved considerably, incorporating new features while keeping its core gameplay intact.
