Innovative VR Glove Enables Tactile Interactions with Anime Characters

Sharp Corporation introduces a VR glove designed to enhance tactile feedback for PC gaming and VR experiences.

Sharp Corporation has unveiled an innovative glove designed for virtual reality (VR) that allows users to experience tactile feedback while interacting with their favorite anime characters. This new haptic technology aims to deliver an immersive sensation similar to what has been enjoyed on the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller.

While many games do utilize advanced haptic capabilities, not all gaming experiences on PC have embraced this feature up until now. The VR glove from Sharp promises to bring that engaging tactile experience into PC gaming and VR.

Although the glove was initially marketed with AI-generated visuals such as the idea of giving head pats to an anime character, it has sparked mixed reactions, leaving some excited and others skeptical about its practicality.

Sharp has stated that the glove is still in development stages and emphasized that the product may undergo changes or even may not reach the market as anticipated. Users are encouraged to monitor updates as the design progresses.
