Path of Exile Players Get Creative Event Amid Expansion Delay

Grinding Gear Games adapts to challenges by launching a quirky month-long event for Path of Exile players during the delay of the new expansion.

Grinding Gear Games has acknowledged the difficulties in maintaining the balance between supporting the original Path of Exile and preparing for the launch of Path of Exile 2. Unfortunately, this has led to the postponement of the upcoming expansion PoE 3.26, which has caused discontent among longtime fans who feel abandoned.

To alleviate this, the studio is organizing a one-month event featuring innovative and eccentric ideas that didn’t make the cut for the final game. As director Jonathan Rogers stated, “I’m really sorry for how this went down…I should have predicted that diverting the PoE team would lead to this.”

Details about this strange event will emerge soon, highlighting modifications to the Ascendancy classes and introducing new gameplay mechanics. Grinding Gear Games remains enthusiastic about engaging with the community and is eager to see their reactions to these creative concepts.

While not a direct replacement for the expansion, this event aims to keep players entertained as they await further updates.
