I am genuinely thankful for the widespread popularity of mechanical keyboards over the last decade. No longer just for gamers, everyone can now enjoy the delightful sensation of real switches under their fingers. One of the pioneers of this trend is Cherry, returning with some exciting new products. The company, renowned for its mechanical switches, has launched its XTRFY MX 8.3 TKL Wireless keyboard and GP7 mousepad in the North American market.
The MX 8.3 TKL keyboard comes with hot-swappable features, allowing users to customize and change switches to their liking. Its robust aluminum construction ensures durability while remaining lightweight, making it perfect for on-the-go use. It supports cable, Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz dongle connections simultaneously.
The dongle boasts a 4000 Hz polling rate, communicating with the PC up to eight times per millisecond, and can achieve 8000 Hz with a direct connection, enhancing the RGB LED performance.

The switches on the keyboard are Cherry’s MX2A hot-swappable switches, featuring a rotary knob for added functionality. These switches are quieter than their predecessors and can withstand up to 100 million presses. Priced at $300 in the United States, the MX 8.3 TKL may not be the cheapest on the market but offers exceptional quality and performance. The GP7 mousepad is also included, made from graphene for improved precision and comfort.
