In Peak, You Can Now Resort to Cannibalism When Stranded

The cooperative climbing game Peak introduces a new cannibalism feature, allowing players to eat their friends when hunger strikes.

When you find yourself in a bind while playing Peak, you can now go as far as eating your friends if hunger takes over. This quirky feature sees characters viewing their friends as giant rotisserie chickens, enabling players to consume them for sustenance.

However, this act is not without consequences, as consuming a friend results in their character’s instant demise, leaving behind a ghost to haunt you through your journey.

The game developers, Aggrocrab, initially hesitated before implementing cannibalism into the game but ultimately succumbed to the idea, leading to mixed reactions from the community. Many players expressed concern that this mechanic could lead to pranking among friends during gameplay.

Reference: Aggrocrab tweeted about the cannibalism addition: “Guys we can’t add cannibalism to Peak” but 28 days later, it’s now a reality.

The prospect of turning on friends for the sake of survival has garnered excitement among the player base, with many considering the strategic approaches to surviving under these unusual circumstances.
