The newly-added Xbox Game Pass game Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders has attracted 500,000 players since its launch. New games are added to Xbox Game Pass each month, with the end of January 2025 being especially active for the subscription service.
Recently, several day one titles joined Xbox Game Pass, including Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Eternal Strands, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders.
Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders is a skiing game featuring both single-player and online multiplayer options. As a sequel to the well-received 2019 title Lonely Mountains: Downhill, it has received high praise from fans and critics. The game boasts an 81 overall rating on the review aggregation platform OpenCritic, positioning it among the most celebrated new game releases of the current year.
It appears that players are flocking to Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, as the developer announced this milestone via Bluesky. Xbox executive Sarah Bond congratulated the team on their impressive launch.
