Leak from Battlefield 6 Reveals New Vehicle Gameplay Mechanics

A recent leak from a pre-alpha test of Battlefield 6 showcases new vehicle gameplay, hinting at exciting multiplayer elements.

A Battlefield 6 leak from a prior Battlefield Labs pre-alpha test has uncovered new vehicular gameplay, offering players a sneak peek into multiplayer before the official reveal event. EA launched the first trailer for Battlefield 6 on July 24, presenting an early view of the game’s single-player campaign and its contemporary setting.

The Battlefield 6 reveal trailer introduced fans to the adrenaline-fueled infantry warfare and aerial dogfights expected from this eagerly awaited entry. The campaign storyline involves NATO’s confrontations with a militarized adversary named Pax Armata, responsible for assaults across significant global hubs, including New York City, as players are duty-bound to neutralize the threat through various missions. Additionally, Battlefield 6 seems to emphasize dense urban combat and destruction elements, reminiscent of some of the franchise’s most cherished installments. Although official multiplayer footage from EA hasn’t been disclosed yet, recent leaks have teased fans about what lies ahead.

In a related leak, SphinxFPS shared new footage from the Battlefield Labs pre-alpha via YouTube, showcasing close to 26 minutes of gameplay that includes primary battle tanks (MBTs) and infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs). The footage begins with a player employing Battlefield’s trademark repair tool to assist a teammate’s MBT, highlighting that this mechanic remains consistent with previous versions. Most of the video depicts the player operating tanks and IFVs within Battlefield 6’s returning Conquest mode, with maps set in locations like Cairo, Egypt, and the Iberian Peninsula.

The Battlefield 6 leak is quite straightforward, indicating that players can look forward to the same squad- and team-based fighting that Battlefield’s multiplayer modes are celebrated for. Many Battlefield enthusiasts indicated their satisfaction in the comments of the leaked footage, eager that Battlefield 6 is on track for a strong comeback in the series. However, it’s important to note that Battlefield Labs does not necessarily reflect the final game, being a pre-alpha with features still under development.

More official insights will be disclosed during the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal on July 31 at 11:30 a.m. PT / 2:30 p.m. ET through EA’s social media platforms. An open beta for Battlefield 6 seems to be in the works, allowing gamers to trial some of the official game playlists, which will feature options to engage with Signature Weapons restricted to specific classes or otherwise.
