Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which had a lackluster debut, is scheduled for a substantial update later in the year. Set for a December release, this update introduces two highly requested features: a new game plus mode and a third-person viewing option.
What to Expect
- New Game Plus: Players can tackle the story again with enhanced challenges while retaining all previous gear and abilities. Additionally, stronger equipment will be available, along with a new skill tree.
- Third-Person Mode: Initially dominated by a first-person perspective, this mode will let players switch between first and third-person views freely during gameplay.
While the game initially flew under the radar post-release, earlier updates have shown that Ubisoft is committed to ongoing support. This major update aligns with the release of the upcoming film Avatar: Fire & Ash on December 19. Ubisoft aims to improve upon their previous communication missteps made at the game’s launch by announcing this update months in advance.
