Amazon is Developing a Wolfenstein TV Series, Featuring the Same Team Behind Fallout
Amazon is reportedly bringing a Wolfenstein series to life, with Patrick Somerville involved—a creator known for his compelling storytelling.
According to a report by Variety, Amazon is putting together a TV series based on Wolfenstein. Patrick Somerville, known for his work on Station Eleven and as a writer for HBO’s The Leftovers, is on board for the project, alongside Kilter Films, the studio responsible for the recent Fallout series.
The project is being promoted with a succinct tagline: “The story of killing Nazis is evergreen.” This reflects the themes of the latest Wolfenstein video games from Bethesda and MachineGames that have focused on anti-Nazi narratives.
Previously, Bethesda launched Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus with provocative slogans such as “Make America Nazi-Free Again,” stirring discussions during its release period.
Wolfenstein’s main character, BJ Blazkowicz, has been a prominent figure in gaming history as a staunch opponent of Nazis, debuting in the classic Wolfenstein 3D back in 1992. With the gains in popularity from the Fallout show, there is a strong possibility that this adaptation will reach audiences in the near future.
