New Hairstyle Potentially Revealed for Final Fantasy 14

Players speculate on a new hairstyle revealed during a recent live broadcast for the game.

Following the 88th Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, Final Fantasy 14 players expressed excitement on social media about a new hairstyle that might be included in the upcoming Patch 7.3 update. This special hairstyle, part of the 2023 hairstyle design contest, appears to have been shown in a preview related to an alliance raid.

During the livestream, Naoki Yoshida, the game’s producer and director, confirmed that Patch 7.3, titled The Promise of Tomorrow, is set to launch on August 5 after scheduled server maintenance. This update will conclude the existing story arc of Dawntrail and provide hints for the future trajectory of the narrative within FF14. Besides the main storyline, the patch will also introduce new features including the Pilgrim’s Traverse deep dungeon and additional quests for crafters.

While observing the new armor rewards, some players noted an intriguing hairstyle displayed among the items. On the official Final Fantasy 14 subreddit, a user named Pinkbunnies66 inquired whether this hairstyle was unintentionally revealed in the Patch 7.3 previews. Other users agreed that this hairstyle is one of the winning ones from the 2023 contest, specifically a medium-length look designed for a female miqo’te character model, integrated with armor from the San d’Oria raid. Unique elements of this hairstyle will enable players to further personalize their characters.

As observed during previous updates, new hairstyles have frequently been introduced with major patches, leading to speculation that the upcoming update will follow suit. However, it remains uncertain whether this newly highlighted hairstyle will indeed be included and how players can access it.
