In a move that has captured the attention of the gaming community, the developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Sandfall Interactive, recently had the opportunity to engage in an enriching dialogue with major figures in the RPG landscape, including Hideo Kojima and the creators at Square Enix.
The studio comprises a dedicated team, with around 30 members, striving against larger industry giants. Guillaume Broche, the director, perceives their work as a tribute to those larger studios, blending inspiration from their works into a unique gaming experience.
Recently, Broche and his team visited Square Enix for a ‘creatively rich exchange of perspectives and ideas.’
Additionally, the Sandfall team met with Kojima, who is renowned for his contributions to the gaming world through notable titles such as Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding. This interaction reflects the supportive spirit within the industry, as established creators are keen to share their insights with newer teams, fostering a communal culture of inspiration.
This kind of creative collaboration not only helps in building relationships within the gaming community but also encourages innovation. As Broche aptly highlights, engaging with inspiration from iconic companies can create a cycle of creativity and respect that enhances the game development experience.
