Wrestling Icon Hulk Hogan Passes Away at 71

Hulk Hogan, the renowned wrestling legend, died at his home in Florida due to cardiac arrest.

Hulk Hogan, whose birth name is Terry Bollea, has died at the age of 71, as reported by TMZ.

According to sources, emergency responders were called to his residence in Florida early Thursday morning to address a “cardiac arrest.” WWE confirmed the news of Hogan’s passing.

“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away,” the company stated on X. “One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”

Hogan was instrumental in popularizing pro wrestling during the 1980s and became a key figure in both WWE and WCW. He also appeared in various films and reality television shows, including Hogan Knows Best.

Beyond wrestling, Hogan’s influence has permeated into video games, appearing in various titles and impacting fan culture.

His career faced challenges, including controversy in 2015, which led to his temporary dismissal from WWE after a scandal involving racist comments. Despite this, Hogan eventually returned to the WWE Hall of Fame.

Most recently, he had been known for his support of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2024.
