Starlink Internet Service Faces Outage but Reports Recovery

Starlink, the satellite internet service backed by SpaceX, has encountered a significant network outage but is now mostly recovered.

Starlink, the satellite internet provider owned by SpaceX and founded by Elon Musk, is currently facing a network outage. Recently, the company confirmed that they are “actively implementing a solution” to the outage which reportedly lasted for approximately 2.5 hours. The service is now stated to be mostly recovered.

“Starlink is currently in a network outage and we are actively implementing a solution. We appreciate your patience, we’ll share an update once this issue is resolved.” - SpaceX

Starlink offers internet services globally through thousands of low-orbit satellites, and has been notably utilized by Ukraine’s military. Issues began to emerge around 12:20 pm Pacific Time.
