Hyte Reduces Prices for PC Cases After Tariff Hike

Following a significant hike in prices due to tariffs, Hyte is now rolling back prices on some of their popular PC cases.

Hyte, a manufacturer of PC cases, has recently announced a reduction in the prices of several of its popular cases, reversing the previous increases inflicted by tariffs imposed under President Trump.

Overview of Price Changes

In response to the slowing impacts of these tariffs, the following changes have been made:

  • Y70: $240 to $220
  • Y60: $200 to $180
  • Y40: $140 to $130

However, the Y70 Touch Infinite is now priced at $400, down from last month’s $440, but remains $20 higher than at the start of the year.

Tariff Context

The rises in prices were initially prompted by the announcement of high tariffs on imported goods, affecting many electronics manufacturers, including Hyte. The company had to redirect shipments and raise prices amid these developments. New updates indicate they are now trying to return to pre-tariff pricing levels for certain models.

Hyte mentioned that while they continue to adjust to market conditions, licensed items remain affected by tariffs and will not benefit from price reductions at this time.
