Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford has unveiled fresh information regarding the performance of Borderlands 4 on the Nintendo Switch 2, confirming that the game will primarily operate at 30 FPS and will utilize the Joy-Con 2’s unique mouse mode.
Set for release on October 3, alongside its predecessors on other platforms which launch on September 12, Borderlands 4 aims to sustain its characteristic gameplay while introducing new Vault Hunters and informed humor. Initially announced in August 2024, this installment is anticipated to be the largest entry in the franchise yet. Although there were concerns about a potential price point of $80, it has been clarified that the game will retail for $70. Fans looking to purchase the looter shooter on the Switch 2 are advised to review its specifications before buying, as they will need to download additional content even with a physical copy.
