After six years of quiet development, Riot’s long-awaited fighting game based on League of Legends, titled 2XKO, is finally making waves again. Players will soon be able to experience it in a closed beta starting on September 9.
In a recent YouTube update, Tom Cannon, the executive producer, shared a gameplay teaser featuring the new character Vi. He reassured fans that the game not only remains in progress but will soon be accessible to the public.
Cannon emphasized that this beta phase aims to refine backend systems, suggesting that players might face initial challenges as testing begins. Participants from past alpha tests will receive invites, along with a new group of players, expanding the testing pool as the launch date approaches.
Looking ahead, 2XKO will also have a presence at EVO 2025, allowing attendees to try out the game firsthand while experiencing the excitement directly from Riot’s booth.
