One player from Dune: Awakening refuses to submit to hackers wreaking havoc on the game, especially those targeting ornithopters. They boldly state, “We know their names, our whole server knows their names.” This sentiment has emerged after this player has been repeatedly attacked by a group manipulating game mechanics to outpace legitimate players.
It’s reported that these hackers can accelerate vehicles beyond normal limits, allowing them to capture and eliminate players in their ornithopters. SpooN04, the player at the center of these ongoing conflicts, stated, “There have been hundreds of reports with evidence just like this. We have been reporting them since near-launch.” Though their community is rallying behind them for support, the player’s efforts to bring these incidents to the developers’ attention have so far yielded little response.
