Ready or Not Surges to 1 Million Console Sales, Outpacing PC Launch

The game Ready or Not has dramatically increased its sales on console compared to its initial PC launch, prompting discussions about the impact of censorship.

As Ready or Not makes its debut on console, developers Void Interactive have confirmed a remarkable milestone: the game sold a million copies within only 3.6 days.

In stark contrast, its PC launch reached the same sales mark after 36 days, highlighting a significant surge in console popularity, partially attributed to minor updates made to comply with console regulations.

“It’s a huge moment, and one we don’t take for granted.” - Julio Rodriguez, CEO of Void Interactive.
Translation: “Es un gran momento, y no lo damos por sentado.”

Despite initial backlash regarding censorship from PC players, it seems that the strategic pivot to consoles has indeed paid off. As Rodriguez elaborated, the initial PC reviews were challenging, but aiming for the console market has proven lucrative.

With a surge in player numbers and strong market performance, it appears that many players are ready to embrace the changes made to the franchise for the new platform.
