Ubisoft plans a major update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, set to launch later this year. This update is particularly significant as it introduces highly anticipated features such as New Game Plus and a third-person mode.
The game, despite a soft launch in December 2023 amid heavy hitters like Baldur’s Gate 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, attracted about two million players shortly after its release.
Earlier in 2024, Ubisoft released two story expansions — The Sky Breaker in July and Secrets of the Spires in November, while also rolling out various updates to improve gameplay.
This new major update is timely, aligning with the anticipated release of the next Avatar film, Avatar: Fire and Ash, scheduled for December 17. This nexus between the game update and the movie’s launch could enhance the gaming experience for fans of the beloved franchise.
