Fix Implemented for The Sims 4's Bizarre Pregnancy Glitch
EA has resolved a significant bug in The Sims 4 that caused unexpected pregnancies among Sims, irrespective of gender or previous interactions.
The baby boom in The Sims 4 has come to an end as EA has rectified a peculiar bug that mistakenly categorized random Sims as pregnant, regardless of gender or whether they had previously engaged in any romantic interactions.
Initially detected last week due to an unnoticed patch, this glitch coincided with the release of the new Enchanted by Nature DLC. The bug not only indicated incorrect pregnancies but also disrupted various other aspects related to in-game reproduction, such as preventing falsely impregnated Sims from aging while rendering them unable to have romantic interactions.
EA assured players that, “today’s update will fix the recent issues seen with Sim pregnancy introduced on July 1.” The company clarified that this problem arose from performance optimizations that have since been reverted.
Players are advised that mods related to Sim pregnancies should now revert to their intended functionalities, though it’s wise to consult specific mod authors for any needed updates.
While some players report satisfaction with the gameplay modifications, opinions vary regarding the recent DLC’s fairy theme, as it may seem lackluster to certain fans.
