For the Treecko line, the artist took inspiration from tracktail lizards found in Monster Hunter Wilds, known for their balancing abilities. In the redesign, Treecko stands on one tail, Grovyle on two, and Sceptile balances on three. Notably, Sceptile’s type has been changed to Grass/Psychic, adopting a pose similar to Mega Alakazam, but utilizing hovering seed bombs instead of spoons as psychic props.
The Fire starter evolutionary line was reinterpreted as candle-themed Pokemon. Torchic and Combusken’s plumes transformed into candle flames, while Blaziken’s arms became two candelabras, adorned with an emblem of the Egyptian sun god Ra on its head. This redesign also changed Blaziken’s type to Fire/Ghost and introduced two distinct modes: Claw mode for increased Attack and Candle mode for enhanced Special Attack.
In the Mudkip line, both Marshtomp and Swampert donned water-filled helmets and metallic tools, embracing an astronaut theme, with Swampert’s type now Water/Steel. Observant fans noted that the redesigns seem heavily influenced by characters from the Mega Man universe, a detail later confirmed by dukepinball in comments—specifically, Sceptile was inspired by Plant Man, Blaziken by Pharaoh Man, and Swampert by Bubble Man, all iconic Robot Masters from the Mega Man series.
