NetEase has backtracked on recent enhancements to Wolverine in Marvel Rivals season 3, adjustments that made the character significantly more formidable both solo and in tandem with the newer hero, Phoenix. This pairing unfortunately created an overwhelming challenge for the Vanguard class players.
“It’s time to tone down Logan’s ferocity and lessen his survivability,” a blog post states. “With the newly introduced season 3, we’ve noticed that Wolverine’s Team-Up Ability with Phoenix has instigated an imbalance, creating excessive tension for the Vanguard players.”
The heightened potency of this duo turned engagements for Vanguards into an overwhelming experience, losing the essence of a heroic challenge and leaning toward outright chaos. To restore equilibrium, the adjustments will involve reducing Wolverine’s Team-Up Ability effectiveness and lowering his threat level against Vanguard heroes in the updated version.
This combination of characters proved to be overwhelmingly powerful in matches, leading to frustrations within the community. NetEase aims to balance Wolverine’s abilities and support the overall gameplay experience for everyone.
