8BitDo has unveiled its latest innovation, the Pro 3 Controller, which allows players to easily swap the magnetic face buttons to suit their gaming style, whether they’re playing on Xbox or Switch.

As reported by The Verge, one of the key features of this controller is its ability to adapt to various button layouts, allowing players to customize their experience. However, while innovative, this design may not cater well to PlayStation users, raising concerns about potential losses of the tiny magnetic discs used for the buttons.

In addition to the customizable buttons, the Pro 3 offers a symmetrical design similar to the PlayStation 5 controllers and incorporates advanced TMR joysticks and Hall effect triggers, minimizing wear and stick drift. With a rechargeable 1,000 mAh battery, it promises an impressive playtime of up to 20 hours, connecting via Bluetooth or a 2.4 GHz dongle. The controller will retail for $70 starting August 12, with various colors inspired by popular consoles.
