Overwatch 2 is introducing a new game mode that will only be available until July 28. The new mode, Hacks & Hijinx, promises chaotic experiences that players will not find in the standard gameplay of Overwatch 2.
Recently, Overwatch 2 also updated its Stadium mode, adjusting Hero performances along with queue times and rewards. However, this new limited-time game mode is likely to attract players who are looking for something different from the usual game mechanics.
The Hacks & Hijinx mode pits teams of six against each other in Control matches with a twist. It features a rotating selection of sixteen different modifiers, some traditional like lifesteal, and others humorous, such as reducing all Heroes’ sizes by 50%. Each match will randomly select two modifiers for players to navigate, leading to unique and unpredictable gameplay.
Rewards for participating in Hacks & Hijinx include 55,000 Battle Pass XP, an 8-bit collection including a special spray, weapon charm, and player icon, plus an Epic Loot Box and the Hackerman title. Players can look forward to a fun mix of bizarre situations and competitive gameplay while enjoying the over-the-top actions that will come with the chosen modifiers.
