Escape from Tarkov Initiates a Quiet Shift After Players React to Recent Hardcore Wipe

The game's latest patch returns all maps to players, addressing backlash from a previous update.

Following the implementation of a significant update known as the “Hardcore Wipe,” Escape from Tarkov has begun reversing some of its recent changes. Players expressed intense disappointment as the previous patch reset progress, altered the economy, and rendered most maps inaccessible, leading to widespread community backlash.

The developers at Battlestate Games have listened to feedback and altered course. Notably, every map is now available again, allowing players to raid all locations that were previously limited.

“When all maps were restricted to just two, only accessible through limited transit points, it sparked fury among gamers. Now, we are pleased to announce that all locations are up for selection once more.”

As a follow-up to the uproar over the hardcore wipe, Battlestate is actively monitoring responses and is gradually adjusting game features, including traders and loyalty levels, to improve the overall gaming experience.

Moreover, boss spawn rates have decreased to 70%, easing the challenge for solo players who struggled during the previous update, which had initially guaranteed a 100% spawn rate for bosses.

Nikita Buyanov, the head of Battlestate Games, has assured the community of plans to restore various gameplay elements gradually, making clear their commitment to rectifying the situation.
